Still Life

Absolutely love working with still life, the personification work done at the beginning of the year has really made me think about the marks that I make when working in dry art materials.

Some pleasant surprises.

I attempted a few wood pieces, thinking to add them to my City piece.

One was done using crayon and black paint, then scratching into it and the other in Charcol.

However they did not have the desired effect.

Thought about my mark when compiling my fruit pictures, the movement and shape of the mark helped to define the item.

Dry art techniques with chalk and pastels made for some great finishes.

Varied studies on still life, looking forward to expanding this throughout the up and coming years.
